Keep your social life and lose weight

I came across this article on MSN and I think it's all true and it's the reason why I have been losing weight as well... I will give my constructive comments in the article...

Get clubbing

Getting down on the dance floor is not only great aerobic and cardiovascular exercise, it generally means you'll spend less time standing at the bar with the temptation of buying another drink.

Eat a well-balanced dinner

Filling up around 7pm before you go out will prevent you from succumbing to pub or bar snacks and takeaway temptations later in the evening.

Drink in moderation

Opt for soda or tonic water rather than soft-drink mixers. Add a slice of lemon or lime for extra zing! Skip the kilojoule-packed cocktails for a glass of wine. One (200ml) medium glass of wine has a POINTS value of 2.

Dinner parties

If you are invited for a dinner party, it doesn't necessarily mean a night of abstinence, just a little bit of self-control.

Hold back on pre-dinner snacks

Nibble on olives in brine, rice crackers, or celery and carrot sticks with a bit of hummus. Avoid handfuls of chips or lollies as once you have a small handful, you'll develop the taste for more!

Eat slowly

When it comes to dinner, enjoy the taste of your food by eating slowly and savouring each mouthful. Chewing food well also makes sure you generate saliva that produces digestive enzymes in the stomach. Try sipping water between mouthfuls and place your knife and fork down for a break.

Fill up on vegetable side dishes

Try salad or steamed vegetables instead of garlic bread.

Drink plenty of water

When a dinner party is in full swing, wine glasses are topped up abundantly, so drink plenty of water in between to avoid dehydration. Remember it's okay to pass on topping up your glass.

The pain

I'm suppose to be doing my work now... But I simply cannot concentrate on work well today. My eyes are so painful... Red and sore. My beautiful eyes are ruin.

I enjoy my work. But I'm starting to question my own abilities. Am I up to it? I'm assigned to quite a number of projects this year. I am very honoured for the assignments as I think that I was assigned to them because people think that I am capable to do so. I am very touched an honoured although I may not show it.

I'm currently in-charged of the newly re-vamp Intranet. I have done quite a number of modifications and many more to come to make the Intranet more user friendly and better in terms of ease of maintenance for users. Actions includes designing, programming, layout, logical thinking, analysing the needs.

I'm also helping out in the SQC Results team. I'm suppose to be gathering data from the Operations side. Operations include Leadership and Processes modules in the SQC proceses. The duty would include analysing how we fair and what are the loop holes or why we faultor in certain areas.

In ERP, I'm assigned to helping out in the technical section which I have a lot to catch up. I have so many things to learn and have to be extra cautious when implementing new changes/updates into the ERP so as not to disrupt users testing/usage. In whatever context you wish to call it.

Last but not least, all my daily routines. Back ups, server maintenance, users support and help, occasional purchasing. Duties include covering for Singapore, Thailand and China offices. I'm just thinking, Andy can do it, so can I.

Wow, after typing so much, I'm just wondering big time how I can manage. Esp on the Intranet which I have many more ideas to implement to ease and help the company to better manage on our product listings, updates etc.

At home, house hunting has be so difficult. If it's not too expensive, then feng shui not good, then house too small, house too old, house odd shape, house too shack, house too noisy and the list never ends. So many quarrels and disagreements.

Having type so much... I'm now feeling very useless and incapable. How many times I have bring back my office work, and thinking of my own house work... I don't know...

House Hunting

House huntying is such a chore... I'm so tired viewing at all the houses. The prices are still pretty high even though the market is bad. If only I have the cash, increment in pay(which is pretty low chance), or have some sort of grant or sponsorship.

Anyway with good deal in terms of my following criteria:
1) Plus minus $400K
2) Above 90sqm (4A type)
3) Good condition, but if the place is in bad condition, we don't mind if the owner is willing to sell it at low value.
3) Areas preferred: Bishan, Toa Payoh, Boon Keng, Whampoa, Kallang or Tiong Bahru.

Let me know if you have any of these! =)

Highlight!!! The chef actually brought out his mini "pit" to serve us our steak there and then on the spot! How cool is that!! On the spot, they will asked how we like our steak to be done and it's done there and then! Fresh... I like it... Something different from the norm...

These salt and pepper are specially done by Lawry's to compliment whatever food we had. We were recommended the pepper to be added into the soup for the extra "punch" but I am allergic to pepper. So I didn't try. Try it the next time and let me know!
